A requested document is a document that vendors will need to submit as part of their RFQ response. Felix gives you the ability to specify which types of documents you wish to request from your vendors.
Add a new requested document type
To add a requested document type:
- Navigate to Settings > RFQ Settings from your Felix dashboard
- Locate the Manage Requested Document Types section
- Click the Add Requested Document button in the top right of the section
- Add a name for the requested document type in the field provided
- Click the Save button
Change a requested document type's availability
To change a requested document type's availability:
- Navigate to Settings > RFQ Settings from your Felix dashboard
- Locate the Manage Requested Document Types section
- Drag and drop the requested document type from one section to another

Delete a requested document type
To delete a requested document type:
- Navigate to Settings > RFQ Settings from your Felix dashboard
- Locate the Manage Requested Document Types section
- Drag the requested document type you wish to delete to the Unselected section
- Click the delete icon next to the name of the requested document type
- Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion
Warning: System requested document types may not be deleted by users. Requested document types which are actively in use by live RFQs cannot be deleted to prevent the loss of data.
Allow users to create requested document types
To allow users to create new requested document types during RFQ creation:
- Navigate to Settings > RFQ Settings from your Felix dashboard
- Locate the Other Settings section
- Check the box beside Allow users to create their own Requested Document Types during RFQ creation
- Click the Update button
Tip: When a requested document type is created by a user during RFQ creation, it will be classified as an Unselected availability type.
