How to edit an approval workflow

There may be instances where you need to temporarily edit an existing approval workflow, for example if a staff member is ill or on leave.

Adding a new approver

To add a new approver to your request:

  1. Navigate to the Unapproved Packages section of the Approval and Send stage of the RFQ creation form
  2. Locate the service that you would like to add a new approver to
  3. Click the Edit Workflow button
  4. Navigate to the Requires Approval By section
  5. Click the Edit Approvers button in the top right of the section
  6. Select the name of the organisation user you would like to add as an approver from the User Name drop-down menu
  7. Select the role of the organisation user in the approval workflow from the User Title drop-down menu
  8. Select which group order in the approval workflow you would like the organisation user to be a part of from the User Order drop-down menu
  9. Click the Add User button to add the organisation user to the approval workflow
  10. Click the Save button

Adding a new approval group

To add a new approval group to your request:

  1. Navigate to the Unapproved Packages section of the Approval and Send stage of the RFQ creation form
  2. Locate the service that you would like to add a new approval group to
  3. Click the Edit Workflow button
  4. Navigate to the Requires Approval By section
  5. Click the Edit Approvers button in the top right of the section
  6. Click the Add Group button
  7. Assign an approver to the new approval group by selecting the relevant group number under User Order when adding an approver
  8. Click the Save button
