How to Add an External ID Type

An External ID Type is used to link your Felix Vendors with other external platforms for easy reference. If you are using Felix APIs to integrate with your external platform, you can add External IDs in the interface to keep both systems in-sync.

Adding an External ID Type

To add an External ID Type:

1. Navigate to Settings > Vendor Settings from your Felix dashboard.
   
   
2. Scroll down the page and go to External ID Types section.
3. Click the Add External ID Type button.
4. Update the following fields:
   • Title - This is the External ID name. (Required field)
   • Description - This is the detailed description of the External ID. (Optional)
5. Click the Add Type button.

The number of External ID Types you can add has no limit.
